1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

¾ cup white granulated sugar

1/3 cup melted butter

2 ¼ tbsp vegetable oil

1 whole egg

1 ½ tsp vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/3 tsp baking powder

1/3 teaspoon salt

¼ cup chocolate chips, semi-sweet




  1. In a medium bowl, add cocoa powder, Sugar, vegetable oil and butter. Mix well.
  2. Add egg and vanilla extract and mix well until everything is incorporated.
  3. Add all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder and mix well.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix lightly until everything is well incorporated. Make sure you don’t overbeat.
  5. Add chocolate chips and fold lightly.
  6. Prepare the baking tray by lining it with parchment paper.
  7. Scoop out two tablespoons of dough and place it onto the parchment-lined baking tray. Press the cookie dough lightly.
  8. Place the baking tray in a preheated oven at 350-degree F for 12 minutes.
  9. Once done, take the baking tray out of the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before transferring it to the cooling rack.
